Something to Celebrate - The SMCAA Annual Dinner and Awards Night
On October 1, 2011, Nigeria turned 51 and the question on many lips was, “Is there something to celebrate?” We watched, listened, and read as citizens spoke and wrote about many things that were making the engine of the Nigerian vehicle stall and their dissatisfaction with its state of disrepair. However, the of School of Media and Communication, Pan-African University and its Alumni Association (SMCAA), is singing a different song because it believes that there is something of national significance to celebrate.

MSc. Student honoured for contributions in the development of Mass Communication
The African Youth Society has conferred Jennifer Igwe, Masters in Media and Communication student with the title “Fellow of the Emblem of Africa, FEA” and “African Youth Role model award”. The event took place on October 18, 2011 at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island.
